The wrestling stadium at the Indira Gandhi sports complex has been named after K.D.Jadhav, India's first individual Olympic bronze medalist for wrestling. He won the honours at 1952 Helsinki Olymics. Following the ceremony Union Minister for sports and youth affairs Dr M.S.Gill told the reporters that infrastructure and coaching facilities are now available for the wrestlers. He expressed hope that this will help the younger generation to train themselves better.
