At the ongoing international film festival in Goa, the film ‘Jorasanko Thakurbari’ was screened today under the Classic section of the Indian Panorama.
The film ‘Sarfarosh’, would also be shown this evening to pay homage to ghazal singer, Jagjit Singh.
Meanwhile, Argentinian filmmaker, Pablo Cesar, wants Amitabh Bachan to play the lead role in his proposed film on India’s literary giant, Gurudev Rabindra Nath Tagore.
Pablo, who is in Goa at the ongoing 42nd International Film festival of India (IFFI), with his film 'Shores' said that a part of the film would also touch upon the association of Tagore with a well-known Argentinian writer ,Victoria Ocampo.
The film will be shot in Bengal, near Shantiniketan and will be in Bengali. Tagore's interactions with Victoria Ocampo will be in Spanish.
Meanwhile, a classic from Tagore, ‘Jorasankho Thakurbari’ is being shown at the festival, today and to pay homage to ghazal singer, Jagjit Singh, film ‘Sarfarosh’, in which he has sung a ghazal would also be shown in the evening.
