IFFI salutes woman filmmakers

The on-going 46 th edition of International Film Festival of India at Pananji, Goa has an exclusive section on 'Womenclature of Cinema', showcasing the films by Indian women filmmakers. The women film makers whose work have been included in the section are Aparna Sen , Bhavna Talwar ,Chitra Palekar, Janaki Viswanathan, Sai Paranjpye and Zoya Akhtar. This section includes the film like 36 Chowringhee Lane, Dharm, Maati Maay, Kutty, Sparsh, and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.<br/><br/>The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) also paying tributes to noted film personalities who passed away last year through showcasing their films in its 'Homage' section. The Homage section of the IFFI include the cine personalities like noted singer and music composer Aadesh Shrivastava, Indian film actor particularly known for his comic roles Deven Varma, music composer and music director Ravindra Jain, renowned producer of Telugu cinema Nageswara Rao, and veteran director of Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi cinema. K. Balachander are among the film personalities who has made a significant contribution to Cinema.
