Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Secretary Mr. Sunil Arora today said that the 46th Edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is ready to welcome a large film audience in Goa, with many new and exciting elements in its bouquet. Mr. Arora talking to media persons in Panaji today, further stated that, for the last 11 years , Goa has been the perfect venue for the lively interplay between art, cinema and the audience .<br/><br/>While responding to a question on a likely protest by FTII students at the IFFI venue the I&B Secretary said that the government was hopeful, the students would not do anything that will hurt the country's image at a global platform. AIR correspondent reports that the 11 day long International Film Festival of India will be held from 20th of this month in the capital city of Goa.<br/><br/> The film festival will showcase 187 films in various sections form 89 countries. While Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony, Oscar-awardee A R Rehman will bring the festival to close. The Indian Panorama section will have a m'lange of 47 spectacular films from India in feature and Non-feature category.
