The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that he along with BJP MPs from the state will stage a dharna near Mahatma Gandhi’s statue at Parliament premises in New Delhi, if the Centre fails to provide required number of gunny bags till Monday to Madhya Pradesh for wheat procurement at minimum support price. Talking to media in Bhopal yesterday he said that the state government has made an advance payment of 565 crore rupees for eighty lakh gunny bags, but so far only 43 lakh gunny bags have been made available. Mr. Chouhan said that wheat procurement has been hit in the state due to shortage of gunny bags. He said that the state could not purchase gunny bags from the open market without Centre’s permission.
