<span style="color: #222222;">In Ladakh, in context with the ongoing National Pooshan Maah and National Nutrition Week, Integrated Child Development Services Department (ICDS), Kargil organised an Exhibition of Tribal Foods at Border Village Chulichan and Darchiks in Batalik Sector. The Aryan People of Dardic Tribe displayed Tribal Food Items including Locally Grown Fresh Organic Foods and Vegetables.<br />''<br />''On this occasion, Child Development Project Officer Parveen Akhtar briefed about the importance of Nutritional Values of the locally available foods and the need to imbibe the habit of eating locally available foods to Pregnant Women and Children.<br />''<br />''Referring to different dishes made out of locally available products such as Chul Chul, Cha Zan (Millets) and Kisir (Buck Wheat) particularly green leaves of Turnip which is very beneficial for Pregnant Women should be encouraged among the society. The PRI Members and the local tribal appreciated the efforts of CDPO, Kargil for organizing such awareness in their villages.&nbsp;</span><br />
