The Integrated Child Development Scheme, ICDS, is being completely revamped to address the issue of malnutrition. <br/><br/>Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi said this today at a conference to review the scheme. She said her Ministry is completely revamping the ICDS as the level of malnutrition in the country continues to be high. <br/><br/>She added that the Ministry is working with NITI Ayog, Ministries of Health and Education and other stakeholders to deal with the problem. <br/><br/>The Minister informed that the digitization of anganwadis is being taken up. Both hardware and software are being provided for real time monitoring of every child and pregnant and lactating mother. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports the meeting was attended by representatives of Women and Child Development departments of 29 states and Union Territories.
