Pakistan defeated Australia by 32 runs in the ICC World Twenty20 Super Eight match at Colombo today. Set to score 150 runs for a win, Australia finished with 117 for seven in the stipulated 20 overs. Earlier, put in to bat, Pakistan made 149 for 6 in their twenty overs in the Group 2 fixture. Both Australia and Pakistan completed their matches in the Group with four points each. But by finishing at the top of the Group with a better run rate, Australia have confirmed their place in the semi-finals. The second semi-finalist from this group will be decided after the completion of the India-South Africa fixture today. Hosts Sri Lanka and West Indies have already qualified for the last four stage from Group One.
