In World cup cricket, India take on defending champions Australia in the quarter finals on Thursday in Ahmedabad. With Sunday's thumping victory against the West Indies, India had finished second in group B with nine points, one less than top finisher South Africa. Yuvraj Singh smashed his maiden World Cup century and took two wickets as India crushed West Indies by 80 runs in their last Group B league match. Zaheer Khan was the most successful Indian bowler with figures of six overs, three wickets for 26 runs while Ravichandran Ashwin also claimed two wickets. In the first quarter-final on Wednesday the West Indies will play Pakistan at Mirpur in Bangladesh. The third quarter-final encounter, also at Miripur, will be between South Africa and New Zealand on Friday. In the fourth match of the last eight stage, co-hosts Sri Lanka will meet England at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday.
