The ICC World Cup 2011 trophy will be unveiled today at the Bangabandhu International Convention Center in Dhaka today. The ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 is being jointly organised by India, Srilanka and Bangladesh. The Central Organising Committee of the ICC World Cup headed by ICC Vice President Sharad Pawar is meeting in Dhaka this morning before the trophy unveiling programme in the evening. The state-run Bangladesh Television will telecast the unveiling programme live at 6:45 pm local time. Arrangements have also been made for cricket fans across the country to view the ceremony on big screens in Dhaka, Chittagong and Cox's Bazar. Earlier yesterday, Mr. Pawar met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and invited her to inaugurate the opening ceremony of the World Cup on February 17th 2011. The Prime Minister has accepted the invitation. Bangladesh will host eight matches including two quarterfinals in both Dhaka and Chittagong.
