ICC Women's World Cup: India beat West Indies by 105 runs

India have won their opening match in the ICC Women's World Cup in Mumbai. In the Group 'A' fixture at the Brabourne Stadium on Thursday, they beat the West Indies by 105 runs. Put in to bat, India set a huge victory target of 285 runs for their rivals. India made 284 for 6 in the stipulated 50 overs.Chasing the target of 285, West Indies were all out for 179 in 44.3 overs, a short while ago. In the Indian innings, the opening partnership between Poonam Raut and Thirush Kamini yielded 175 runs. Kamini emerged as the top scorer with a fine century, while Poonam Raut was out for 72. The total is India's highest in a World Cup match.
