India set a victory target of 170 runs for Pakistan in the 3rd Women's World Cup cricket match at Derby, England. Punam Raut struck an industrious 47 while S.Verma scored an unbeaten 33 in India's total of 169 for 9 in 50 overs. For Pakistan, 19 year old spinner Nashra Sandhu claimed 4 wickets while Sadia Yousuf took 2 . Led by Mithali Raj , India had made a dream start at the tournament by stunning hosts England by 35 runs before trouncing West Indies by seven wickets in their second encounter. On the other hand, Sana Mir-led Pakistan, are yet to taste victory in the tournament. They lost to South Africa by three wickets before being handed a 107 run defeat via Duckworth-Lewis method by England.
