In a nail-biting finish, Nepal defeated Afghanistan in the first final Group A qualifier match of the ICC Twenty-20 Cricket World Cup by 9 runs in Chittagong today. Sent into bat, Nepal scored 141 for 5 and tore into Afghanistan, restricting them at 132 for 8 in the stipulated 20 overs. The second final Group A qualifier is between Bangladesh and Hong Kong is in progress in Chittagong.
