In the ICC Twenty-20 Cricket World Cup Opener, India will take on arch rivals Pakistan today at Mirpur, Dhaka, Sher-E-Bangla National Stadium. All India Radio will broadcast the live commentary on the match, alternately in Hindi and English on the Rajdhani and FM Gold Channels from 6:30 PM onwards. India is placed in Group-2 with Pakistan, defending champions West Indies, in form Australia and hosts Bangladesh. Group-1 comprises Sri Lanka, England, South Africa, New Zealand and a qualifier spot yet to be filled. Bangladesh entered the Group -2 of the Super-10 phase last night only, despite a surprising two-wicket loss against Hong Kong in the Group A qualifier match in Chittagong. Hong Kong restricted Bangladesh at 108 all out in 16.3 overs. In reply, Hong Kong scored 114 with two balls and two wickets to spare.After the match, Nepal and Bangladesh were tied at 4 points each but the hosts managed to edge past Nepal on net run-rate to qualify for top 10 group stage. Earlier, yesterday Nepal defeated Afghanistan by 9 runs in another Group A qualifier match in Chittagong.
