In the ICC Cricket World Cup, New Zealand defeated co-hosts Australia by 1 wicket in a crucial Pool-A game at Auckland today. Opting to bat first, Australia were bundled out for a paltry 151. Trent Boult bagged his maiden wicket haul as Australia slid from 80 for 1 to 106 for 9.Australia did well with the ball, as they took 9 Kiwi wickets at the score of 146. Mitchell Starc claimed 6 wickets. However, Kane Williamson hit a six in the end to give his team its fourth consecutive victory in this World Cup. Boult was adjudged man of the match.In the other game of the day, UAE were 13 for 2 in 6.1 overs against defending champions India in Pool-B at Perth, when reports last came in. UAE had won the toss and opted to bat first.
