The pools stages finally came to an end in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 as Pakistan defeated Ireland by 7 wickets in the last game at Adelaide on Sunday. With a victory over Ireland Pakistan finishes at number 3 in Pool B and qualified for quarter finals. After getting Ireland restricted to a low total of 237 Pakistan batted clinically and notched up victory as they overhauled the target in the 47th. For Pakistan, Sarfaraz Ahmed scored his maiden century and the first for his team in this World Cup. Though Ireland and West Indies had equal points at the end of pool stage but because of better net run rate West Indies progressed to the quarterfinals.Now all the quarter final matches are queued up. Pakistan plays Australia at Adelaide on Wednesday, India faces Bangladesh at Melbourne on Thursday, Sri Lanka will take on South Africa at Sydney on Friday and New Zealand will lock horns with West Indies at Wellington on Saturday.
