The International Cricket Council (ICC) has congratulated Afghanistan Cricket Board for winning the prestigious Laureus Sports Award. In a statement ICC Chief Executive David Richardson said by receiving this prestigious award, it is clear that the wider international sports community has now recognized the influence cricket in Afghanistan. Dr. Noor Mohammad Murad, CEO of the Afghanistan Cricket Board received the award on behalf of the team in a function in Kualalampur on Wednesday.
