The Delhi High Court has directed the ESPN channel to provide live signal of ICC Champions Trophy 2013 in England without any commercial till its further orders. The one-day international tournament has started in England on Thursday and will continue till 23rd of this month. A vacation bench of Justices Manmohan Singh and R.V. Easwar in an interim order said that the petitioner (ESPN) shall provide live signals which would be clean without any commercial to Doordarshan so that Doordarshan would be able to telecast the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 as per commitment and object of the Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Act.The bench was hearing a petition filed by the TV channel which sought a direction to Prasar Bharati not to insist on the live signal of the ICC Trophy without any commercial.
