In Manipur, the state Cabinet has taken a serious note of the recent media reports on a Supra-State body for the Nagas. Official sources said the state Cabinet meeting held last evening has entrusted Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh to take up the issue with the Centre.Meanwhile, the Manipur People’s Party and state units of CPI and BJP have demanded the government to clarify on the reported developments in the talks between the Centre and the NSCN-IM.Local media reports in the last few days said that the negotiations between the Centre and the NSCN-IM are in a crucial stage for a final settlement.The media reports claimed that the Centre has offered to create a Naga Supra-State Body instead of the Greater Nagalim demanded by the Naga outfit.
