In Manipur, incumbent state Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh has been re-elected as the new leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) of the state for the third time in a row. Briefing mediapersons at Imphal this afternoon, AICC General Secretary and Manipur in-charge of the Party, Luizinho Faleiro said that Congress President Sonia Gandhi has appointed Mr. Ibobi Singh as the new leader of the CLP. He further said that the CLP meeting of the newly elected legislators of the state held on the seventh of this month, had unanimously agreed to authorize the Congress High Command to appoint the new CLP leader to lead the new government in the state.
