Information and Broadcasting Secretary Ajay Mittal today met a delegation of senior journalists from Nepal in New Delhi. During the meeting, Mr. Mittal gave an overview of the key policies and initiatives of his Ministry. He highlighted the initiatives taken recently with regard to broadcasting and film sectors. Mr. Mittal also apprised them of the role and relevance of government communication in the light of vast diversity existing within the media landscape. On the occasion, the delegation was also informed about the role and relevance of the public broadcaster. The delegation is on a visit to India on a familiarisation programme.
