I&B officials meeting FTII students in Mumbai to break logjam

As officials from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting meet the striking students of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) today in their second meeting this week, students are hoping for concrete proposals so that they can call off their strike.<br/><br/>Students have been on strike for more than 100 days now against the appointment of actor Gajendra Chauhan and a few others on the governing body of the institute. The relay hunger strike was called off by the students after they got an assurance of talks from the government. However, academic activities in the institute remain suspended since the start of the ongoing strike.
