Information and Broadcasting Ministry has put on hold the decision to discontinue the regional bulletins of All India Radio in seven cities. The cities are Indore, Pune, Dibrugarh, Bhuj, Dharwad, Trichy and Kozhikhode. Sources said, the Ministry has asked senior officers to hold back the order in this regard. Ministry's instruction came following protests in the affected cities. The move was also opposed by several MPs and others. Earlier, the Ministry had ordered to discontinue the regional bulletins.
