As the countdown begins to the much anticipated 46th International film festival of India (IFFI) to be held at Panaji , Goa from 20 November, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting today launch IFFI 2015 official Mobile App in Panaji.<br/><br/>The IFFI 2015 smartphone App brings a myriad spectrum of colours from the 46 th IFFI. The App has been designed and maintained by the New Media Wing of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. <br/><br/>The extremely user-friendly App hosts multi-faceted features including film trailers, film screening schedules, reminders of favorite movies.<br/><br/>IFFI festival them song was also launched at a press conference in the presence of Director of Film Festival Mr C. Senthil Rajan, NFDC Director Ms Nina Lath Gupta, CEO of Entertainment Society of Goa(ESG) Mr Amay Abhyankar ,Vice President of ESG Mr Damodar Naik and ADG, Press Information Bureau Ms Ira Joshi.<br/><br/>Talking to the media in Panaji today DFF Director Mr. C. Senthial Rajan said that the 46 th edition of the IFFI is all set to woo audience with an enthralling array of spectacular films and celebrities. <br/><br/>The India's biggest film festival will screen 187 films in world cinema section while 47 films will be screen in Indian Panorama section. The International Competition will have 15 films from across the globe including countries like Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Colombia, France, Germany, Iceland and others. <br/><br/>The Man who knew Infinity is the opening film of the festival while world third Sanskrit film 'Priyamanasam' will open the Indian Panorama section, he added.<br/><br/>The film festival will also host the 9 th edition of Film Bazar which will be focusing on more than 150 film projects. The film Bazar is organized by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) Highlighting about Film Bazar, NFDC Director Ms Nina Lath Gupta said the as a part of NFDC objectives to promote India as a destination for shooting films , NFDC is going to open film facilitation center to make the permission of filming in India easier and more friendly. <br/><br/>The NFDC has a special focus on screen writers labs which include Children's Screenwriters lab, Romance Screenwriters lab and screenwriters lab. The six projects selected for its first ever Children's Screenwriters Lab with an aim to cultivate original Indian stories specifically for children, NFDC Director Ms. Gupta added.<br/><br/>During the 11 days mega film event the Press Information of Bureau (PIB) will utilizing the potential of social media for the information dissemination and to create synergy. Informing about new initiatives by PIB, ADG, PIB, Ms Ira Joshi said that during the film festival a series of Twitter chats with film personalities will be organize. <br/><br/>For International panorama, PIB will also be inviting questions on Twitter form foreign media and foreign film critics to make the press conferences more interactive and broadbased.<br/><br/>The International Film Festival was for the first time organized in India in 1952 at Mumbai as a national initiative for art and culture promotion. International Film Festival of India today has become one of the biggest film festivals in the world.

I&B ministry launches official app for IFFI 2015
