Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued an order for Simplification of Procedure for processing of application for Uplinking and Downlinking of TV Channels. As per order, Department of Space clearance will not be required for TV channel application proposing to Uplink from Teleports which are already cleared by department and permitted by Ministry of I & B. <br/><br/>The order specify that Department of Space clearance would be required in case of applications seeking permission to set up Teleports and operating Digital Satellite News Gathering vans.
