The Information and Broadcasting ministry has been directed to review the claims made by SIS Live jointly with Prasar Bharati to ensure that there is no over payment . The ministry has also been directed to take appropriate action for recovery in case of any over payment. These directions have been issued on the recommendations of the initial report of the V K Shunglu committee constituted to look into the irregularities in Commonwealth Games 2010 . In reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha today, sports minister Ajay Maken informed an oversight mechanism has been set up by the information and broadcasting ministry to look into the issues, which will be referred to the GoM on Prasar Bharti. The minister added that the GoM has been urged to expedite its work so that corrective measures at the administrative and legislative level put in place. Mr. Maken said Director General of Doordarshan for her allegedly involvement in the case has been reverted to parent cadre. The sports minister also informed that I&B ministry has been directed to seek explanations from the then CEO of Prasar Bharati and recommend appropriate action by early next month. Mr. Maken said a copy of the Shunglu committee report has also been referred to the CBI for investigation. The committee will submit its final report by the end of March .
