Information & Broadcasting Ministry has advised Private television channels, FM and community Radio stations to give adequate attention to the ongoing cleanliness campaign of the Centre. <br/><br/>Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his Mann Ki Baat programme on 27th of last month, had called upon the nation to undertake a campaign 'Swachhta Hi Sewa'. <br/><br/>In an advisory, the ministry urged the media to play an important role in building public opinion and create awareness in favour of the campaign. Ministry said the campaign is aimed at creating an environment of cleanliness across the country in the spirit of a jan andolan.
