I&B Minister Venkaiah Naidu inaugurates Indian Panorama at IFFI

Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the Indian Panorama at the ongoing International Film Festival of India in Goa today. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Naidu said, Indian Panorama is a platform for young and aspiring filmmakers to show their talent and creativity to the international audience. He said, it also provides opportunity to filmmakers to show Indian culture to the world. <br/> <br/><br/> 22 movies in feature film category and 21 films in the non-feature film category are being screened in the Indian Panorama this year. While opening movie in the feature film category was Sanskrit film Ishti, directed by G. Prabha, the inaugural film in the non-feature film category was Ima Savitri directed by Bobo Khuraijam. <br/><br/><br/>The popular mainstream movies, like Airlift, Bajirao Mastani and Baahubali will also be screened, in the Indian Panorama. It will feature, four movies each, in Bengali, Marathi and Hindi. Indian Panorama is considered an important section of IFFI, as perhaps, India is the only country which makes movies in so many languages.
