Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today said Independence Day should be celebrated by people just like any other festival. <br/><br/>Inaugurating week long Independence Day Film Festival in New Delhi, Mr Naidu said, the Independence Day celebration should not be confined to a mere Government event. <br/><br/>He said, Independence Day is an occasion to recall the lives of our great leaders and sacrifices they have made. Mr Naidu said 70th year of Independence is also 75th year of Quit India Movement. He said the Indian freedom struggle has given the world the power of non violence.<br/><br/>Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Col Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Secretary Ajay Mittal were present on the occasion. Government of India has decided to celebrate 70th Year of Independence as Azaadi 70 saal Yaad Karo Qurbani.
