Minister of Information and Broadcasting Smriti Irani has said that it is the competence that matters in policy making and not the gender. <br/><br/>Speaking on policy, politics and gender at Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi today she said there is need to design a new pathway to make the process of policy making gender neutral. <br/><br/>She said women are competent and they can become the focal point of an economy. She said construction of toilets can be a small tool of empowerment but it is very critical. <br/><br/>The Minister said government has built thousands of toilets in one year which has helped more girls to continue learning in schools. She said, 75 percent of the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana are women. <br/><br/>
