I&B Minister launches online portal for Bharat Nirman Campaign

Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari today launched an online portal for the Bharat Nirman Campaign. The portal provides an interactive digital platform for the creative campaign on various schemes and programmes covered under Bharat Nirman campaign.

The digital portal available in Hindi and English with creatives in 11 regional languages, enables the user to get information about the schemes at a single place. It also has live integration with social media platforms such as Face Book, Twitter and You Tube.

On the occasion, the Minister also launched All India Radio's free SMS service to provide important news to subscribers and keep them updated with the latest happenings around. After launching the service, Mr Tewari hoped the service, which is subscribed by two lakh people at present will touch the five lakh figure by the end of this month.

AIR Correspondent reports, under the free SMS service, registered listeners will be provided news headlines free of cost on their mobile phones. For registering, a listener has to subscribe to the service by typing AIRNWS, Space, then his or her name, on the mobile and send the SMS to 08082080820 or give a missed call to the same number.
