I&B Minister for speedy and effective implementation of tribal Welfare Schemes

The Information and Broadcasting Minister, Mrs Ambika Soni has asked all the stake holders to come forward for speedy and effective implementation of all tribal welfare schemes. Addressing a three-day Golden Jubilee National Workshop of Directorate of Field Publicity in New Delhi on Wednesday, Mrs Soni said that causes of violence in the tribal areas should be found out and appropriate measures need be taken to address their grievances. Reiterating government’s commitment to tackle violence in these areas, she said that corruption has to be removed for better implementation of flagship programmes in Naxal hit areas. She also asked the Field Publicity Officers to go to remote areas and provide proper information about welfare schemes so that poorest among the poor gets benefited. Mrs Soni said that NREGA, Mid Day Meal scheme, RTI and Health and Education Programme launched by the government should be reached to every person of the country. Ministers of State in the information and broadcasting ministry C M Jatua and Jagatrakshan also spoke on the occasion.<br/>
