Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur visited the AIR, Bengaluru Station on Friday. Showing keen interest in the activities pursued by the station, the Minister visited each of the studios dedicated to FM Rainbow, Music, News and Primary channel. Addressing the meeting of officials, the Minister issued directions to work at the ground level. He said that the beneficiaries at the Gram Panchayat level should be contacted and their views be carried in the AIR programmes. He also issued instructions to generate more revenue from all the AIR stationS in Karnataka. Senior officials from the AIR, Bengaluru Station including V.Ramakanth, ADG, Neha Swamy, DDG (Engineering), Nirmala Eligar, Programme Head and T. B. Nanjundaswamy, News Head were present on this occasion.<br />'' <br />''Later in the day, the Union Minister will take part in the event to launch the logo, theme song and Jerkin for the Khelo India University Games to begin on 24th of April in Bengaluru. The Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot and Union Minister of State for Sports Affairs Nisith Pramanik will be present on this occasion.<br />
