I&B Minister Anurag Thakur says over 25 thousand programmes have been organised across the country under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

<span style="color: #222222;">BJP has described Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav as a festival of national awakening, realising the dreams of good governance and a festival of global peace and development. Briefing media in New Delhi today, senior party leader and Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur has said that more than 25 thousand programmes have been organised across the country under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.<br />'' <br />'' Mr Thakur said, eight thousand 616 programs have been done by the Ministries and Departments so far while nine thousand 516 programs have been conducted by the States and Union Territories. He said, under the Amrit Mahotsav, two thousand 347 programs have been organized by the Ministry of External Affairs and other organizations in other countries.<br />''<br />''Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 12th March last year to celebrate a progressive independent India, culturally rich heritage and achievements of India. It is being celebrated with a vision to bring people together from all corners of the country and celebrate India 2.0, guided by the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.</span>
