<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister for Information, Broadcasting, and Sports and Youth Affairs Anurag Thakur today inaugurated Himachal's first Science Center at Palampur in Kangra district today.<br />''<br />''Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Anurag Thakur said that science centre at Palampur is the first science center of its kind in the state, which has been built at a cost of about Rs 9 crore.<br />''<br />''He said, it will be the endeavor that students from across the state should visit Palampur Science Center so that they can progress in the field of research by developing a scientific outlook in their life.<br />''<br />''He added Ministry of Culture has made a new beginning to open such science centres.<br />''<br />''Earlier, on reaching Palampur, Anurag Thakur was accorded a rousing welcome.<br />''<br />''It may be recalled that Palampur Science centre has been developed under the Scheme for Promotion of Culture of Science (SPoCS) by the National Council of Science Museums (#NCSM), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. The National Council of Science Museums is engaged in establishment f Regional Science Centres/Science Cities throughout the country. </span><br />
