I&B Minister Anurag Singh Thakur hails centre's decision to cut excise duty on petrol and diesel

<span style="color: #222222;">Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur has said Prime Minister Narendra Modi always takes decisions in the interest of country men and in view of this the excise duty on petrol and diesel has been slashed by the central government.<br />''<br />''Talking to reporters at Gaggal airport in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh today,  Anurag Thakur said the price of crude oil is increasing continuously across the globe and the central government has taken this historic decision only to give relief to the people. He expressed hope that this time the opposition ruled states will cut tax on petrol and diesel in their state to give relief to the common man. <br />''<br />''He said  the Central Government has also taken an important decision to give a grant of Rs 200 per cylinder up to 12 cylinders per year to more than 9 crore beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.  <br />''<br />''Anurag Thakur added the central government has worked to provide free food grains to more than 80 crore people of the country for more than two years during the corona epidemic and more than one hundred and 90 crore corona vaccines have also been provided free of cost.</span><br />
