Uttar Pradesh government has suspended IAS officer Shashi Bhushan, who was arrested today on charges of molestation of a girl in Lucknow Mail. Taking strong cognizance of the incident, CM Akhilesh Yadav has ordered the suspension of the officer with immediate effect. AIR Lucknow correspondent, quoting IG Railway Ashutosh Pandey, reports that a case against Sashi Bhushan has been registered under various sections of IPC (Indian Penal Code) by GRP ( Government Railway Police) Lucknow. Shashi Bhushan, an IAS officer of 2001 batch, is presently posted as special secretary in technical education department in Lucknow. He has also served as collector of Buland Shahar and Sambhal districts.
