Senior IAS officer Supriya Sahu has been appointed Director General of Doordarshan, a post lying vacant for nearly two years. A 1991 batch officer, Sahu is currently working in her cadre state Tamil Nadu. She has been appointed to the post for three years. Sahu has earlier worked as Director and Joint Secretary in Information and Broadcasting Ministry, nodal authority for the national broadcaster Doordarshan.
