The Indian Air Force Advanced Landing Ground (ALG) at Tuting in Arunachal Pradesh became functional yesterday. ALG Tuting, which was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, will facilitate air connectivity with the rest of the country and give a fillip to tourism in the state.<br/><br/>It is the 6th operational Landing Ground in the state. After inaugurating the Advanced Landing Ground, Chief Minister Pema Khandu said it will be used for both defence and civilian purpose.With ALGs being operationalised in seven other places in the state, the Chief Minister said, it will boost regional connectivity in the state and provide further impetus to tourism industry and contribute to the local economy. The Tuting Advanced Landing Ground is under the control of Air Force Station, Jorhat in Assam.
