Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal NAK Browne called on Bangladesh President Zillur Rahman at Bangabhaban in Dhaka on Monday. During the meeting, the Bangladesh President expressed happiness at the excellent relations existing between the two neighboring countries and emphasized the need for strengthening the exchange of training facilities for the officers of Bangladesh and Indian Air Force.
The Indian Air Force Chief also called on Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official Ganobhaban residence. During the meeting, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said her government values friendship and cooperation with the neighbouring countries.
She also reiterated her government's firm stance against terrorism. The Air Force Chief is on a four day visit to Bangladesh as part of the efforts to strengthen defence cooperation between the two countries.
