The Indian Air Force has appealed the citizens of Delhi to keep their areas clean to enable safe fly-past during the Republic Day celebration. IAF has appealed to the people to avoid throwing eatables, garbage, dead animals or carcasses in the open to prevent flight safety threats posed by birds. A fly-past comprising 28 IAF aircraft including 13 fighter jets, 10 helicopters and five transport aircraft will present an aerial show during the Republic Day Parade. The fly-past at heights varying from 60 to 500 meters will be in two phases, at the start of the parade and at the end. The aerial show will be matched by the IAF marching contingent comprising 144 air warriors and 72 musicians of AF Band. At this year's parade, IAF tableaux will be based on the theme Network Centric Operations which involves networking of sensors and critical capabilities to provide complete situational awareness to IAF.
