International Association of Athletics Federations, IAAF has accorded class II certificate to newly laid athletic tracks at Mithilesh stadium in Patna. This has boosted its chance to hold Asian level events. Information regarding Mithilesh stadium getting the certificate from IAAF was provided by Additional Director General of Police S K Bhardwaj.The laying of the new track at the stadium had cost 8 crore rupees and it had recently hosted national policeathletics meet. Mithilesh stadium is located inside Bihar Military Police. It has hosted many state level sporting events in the past.
