With this win, Aizawl FC steadfastly maintained their hold standing at 3rd in the I – League Table, after Kingfisher East Bengal & Mohun Bagan. The match started at a low pace with Churchill Brothers putting up a strong attack against Aizawl FC as the match moves on. In the 33' minute, Churchill Brothers opened account with a penalty which was scored by Ansumana Kromah. With this goal, Churchill Brothers leads the match till the first half ends.In the second half, Aizawl FC strikes back with forceful attack against Churchill Brothers. In 62' minute of the second half, Aizawl FC got a penalty kick, which was comfortably scored by Lalramchullova. Aizawl FC continue their attacked and a goal was netted on the side of Churchill Brothers in 68' minute by Kamo. In 76' minute, Churchill Brother's Banpynkhraw scored own – goal, giving Aizawl FC 3 – 1 win against Churchill Brothers. Aizawl FC will face Bengaluru FC at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Aizawl on February 15.
