The Centre has suggested private TV channels to carry Independence Day Ceremony telecast from DD News or DD Bharati feed with sign language interpretation for the benefit of differently-abled people. In an advisory, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry said it has been receiving requests from civil society to facilitate telecast of the Independence Day ceremony to the people with hearing-impairment. The DD News and DD Bharati channels will let private satellite TV carry the feed of this event free of cost.
