In Hyderabad, India win the opening ODI by 126 runs. Chasing a victory target of 301 runs, the visitors could score only 174 runs and lost. Earlier, electing to bat after winning the toss, India made 300 for seven in the stipulated 50 overs. Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni played a superb innings under pressure and was the top-scorer with an unbeaten 87 off 70 balls. He was well supported by Suresh Raina who hit a 55-ball 61.The last fifteen overs yielded a whopping 150 runs. For India, it is their first international series at home after winning the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup.
