Hundreds of citizens screened for numerous diseases as part of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra

As part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, health camps were organised at 36 locations spread across five districts of Maharashtra, namely Nandurbar, Palghar, Nashik, Gadchiroli and Nanded. Hundreds of citizens were screened for numerous diseases like TB, sickle cell and anemia. Registrations for Ayushman Bharat scheme besides the distribution of health cards were also held at these camps.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a mission to eradicate tuberculosis even as efforts are on to tackle diseases like anemia and sickle cell disease and also to reduce malnutrition. Addressing a grand camp set up under the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' in Nashik's Igatpuri this afternoon, Mr. Bais urged citizens to register themselves for schemes like Ayushman Bharat, Vishvakarma scheme, Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, pension and crop insurance schemes among others so that India can see development across all sections. <br />''<br />''The Governor said the Central Government is trying hard to ensure that each and every citizen of this country has access to good education, and healthcare besides basic needs like home, gas, power and water connection. He added that the state and center have introduced numerous schemes for the skill development of tribal citizens so that they can join the mainstream.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Later, the Governor along with Nashik's Guardian Minister Dada Bhuse visited a farmer named Rajendra Kedar in Shirsate village to witness the demonstration of spraying of nano urea using a drone. Mr. Bais said developing the agricultural sector on par with the industry has been a priority for the government.</span><br />
