Human Rights Day is being observed on 10th December; Vice Prez Naidu asks everyone to protect Human Rights

<span style="color: #222222;">Human Rights Day is being observed today. The Day is celebrated on 10th December every year since 1950 in commemoration of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, by the United Nations in 1948. In his message, the Chairperson of National Human Rights Commission, Justice Arun Mishra said, the celebration of Human Rights Day is to reinforce the fact that every human being is born with inalienable rights, which are embedded in the basic ethos of equality. He stressed the need to start recognizing the importance of mutual co-existence of each other, ensure that ‘rights to life, liberty, dignity and equality' are protected in the true spirit of Constitutional provisions in line with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.<br />”<br />”The Chairperson said, India is world’s largest vibrant democracy celebrating its unity in diversity. He pointed out that India has given the world the concept of Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam and Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah. He added that this belief was reflected in the helping hand extended by India to the global fraternity during the COVID-19 pandemic.<br />”<br />”Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu has asked everyone to strengthen their resolve to preserve and protect the human rights of all, on Human Rights Day today. In a tweet, Mr. Naidu said, this year's theme 'Equality – Reducing inequalities, advancing human rights' reminds people that everyone is entitled to human rights, without any form of discrimination.</span><br />
