Huge storm hits US: heavy rainfall led to evacuation in California

A huge storm that is sweeping across the United States has brought Los Angeles nearly half its annual rainfall in just six days. The storm has been nicknamed the Pineapple Express as it brought moisture across the Pacific from Hawaii. Hundreds of homes in California have been evacuated because of threat of mudslides caused by heavy rain. Weather experts say, the storm is strong enough to march right across America from West to East hitting Florida by Saturday.
