In Manipur, a huge cache of arms was seized in Thoubal district, from a supporter of the banned Revolutionary Peoples Front, by Manipur police commandos. Senior department officials said today, that acting on a tip-off the commandos had launched a massive manhunt yesterday and apprehended one person aged 43 years. The SSP Clay Khongsai said, one AK 56 rifle, three magazines and 79 AK live ammunitions were seized from him. The apprehended person led the police to a location where the arms were stored. The Police recoveries include four 9mm pistols, 20 grenades, 271 live ammunitions of M16 rifle, 232 live ammunitions of AK rifles, 100 live ammunitions of 9mm pistol and 4 live rounds of other weapons.
