Human Resources Development Minister M M Pallam Raju has favoured introducing chapters on sanitation, health and hygiene in school curriculum for generating awareness among children. Speaking at the first national school sanitation awards in New Delhi today, he said the awareness can lead to behavioural change within the society. Raju gave away awards to 102 schools that have come forward to get their online school sanitation rating. The awardee schools have been rated in green, blue and yellow colours.
On this ocassion, the minister also launched the WAVES OF CHANGE programme. It aims at facilitating holistic development of the mind, body and soul.
